Hi
I have recently taken War Grave Photo's for the Manchester Regiment and the Lancashire Fusiliers, with help from other Root Chatters.
Whilst doing these I also have some others, that have come of the Screen Walls, which include Cheshire, Royal Navy, West Yorkshire, Royal Engineers, Royal Army Medical Corps, Royal Defence Corps, Welch Regiment and many more.
Cemetery's covered are
Agecroft Southern Gorton Weaste Philips Park and Bury Cemetery (Redvale)
If anyone is looking for a Photo, please post and I will look at my data.
Hoping this helps people who can't get to these Cemeterys, but would like a photo for their Files.
Debbie

hello there Kalasira
The photos of Flatiron cemetry where my grandfather is buried are similar to the ones on this site http://www.cwgc.org/search/certificate.aspx?casualty=557043
I am not sure if you can get a link from what I have just given you. It shows Flatiron Cemetry from a distance. Some of the photos that I have show some graves but not clearly only the one of my grandfathers. Some friends of mine went to France and called by the cemetry for me.
If you could find out a little more about the Iles you are looking for, then try this site http://www.cwgc.org
Don't give up on Roots chat, there are truely some wonderful helpful people on here. The information that I have had back has been truely amazing and sometimes the information that I had given was quite sparse.
Cheers Avril

Hi everyone, You all seem so knowledgible so perhaps you could comment on my question. My grandfather James Buckby was firstly in the Manchester Reg and then the East Yorkshire RFeg. I understand he fought at the Somme. Apparently he was mentioned in despatches for going over the top to rescue colleagues. Hde was made up to a Srg. I have only been able to trace his medal card and nothing else. ? Do any of you know which records were destroyed for WW1 as this can be one explanation. His details are as follows James Buckby Regiment or Corps: Manchester Regiment, East Yorkshire Regiment Regimental number: 31018, 30122
Cheers everyone
