An excellent site if you wish to purchase copies of parish registers (up to 1812) & other bits & pieces either in book or microfiche form.

Click on Research Sources (right hand side) then genealogy.
They have also catalogued 20% of their archive material so if you want to do a names search to see if your ancester is amongst the 20% go straight to the following link.

I paid for research with Luton and Beds Archives and they were very professional and thorough. I paid for two hours research and received census entries, maps, birth and marriage entries from parish records and I was very impressed by their prompt reply and attention to detail.
I cannot get to the record office myself, so I was delighted with their findings.
