RICHARDSON & MAYES Huntingdonshire
« on: Saturday 18 August 07 04:50 BST (UK) »

I am looking for any information on fourth & fifth great-grandmothers who I suspect were born in Huntingdonshire.

Elizabeth RICHARDSON was from Kimbolton when she married Abraham DILLEY of Roxton Bedfordshire in 1775 at Eynesbury.

Their son Edward DILLEY married Phillis MAYES in Eynesbury in 1797.

Any info on these would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Dave

And annoyingly:

William Mayes chr 12 Jun 1728 Baldock
father Tho
mother Susan

OR

William Mayes
chr 21 Jun 1730 Baldock
father William
mother Mary

Think I will stop there as I'm probably completely on the wrong track (which I followed Phyllis down .. she seemed like the only likely one on the IGI). I'll have another look around, but in the meantime hopefully someone will be able to assist.

As Hunts is poorly represented on the IGI it is quite possible that Phyllis was from that county and simply doesn't appear on the IGI. Eynesbury is one of the many parishes that hasn't been extracted because the LDS was refused permission to film the parish register.

The bishops transcript for Kimbolton has been filmed by the LDS and is available on order from, for viewing at, your nearest Family History Centre of the LDS - a list is available at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/default.asp
