Dormer Family Bicester

Hi
I've recently added the Dormer family to my tree, they are from the Bicester area of Oxfordshire.  The furthest back I have is Nicholas Dormer c1572-1615 from Bicester but no parentage anywhere via net searches and cd records.  He married Elizabeth Northe (b1577 Cuddesdon).  Any help with baptism details for Nicholas would be greatly appreciated.

The only pre-1572 (male) DORMER marriages that I can find on the OFHS's Oxfordshire Marriage Index (1538-1837) are at Great Milton (1552), Cuddesdon (1563) and Great Haseley (1564).  These parishes are all next to each other, and I note that Nicholas married a Cuddesdon girl.

Have you tried a check of the Oxfordshire Baptism Index for Nicholas?  (Although only about 90% complete, the above three parishes are included plus others in the area - check exactly which ones at http://searches.oxfordshirefhs.org.uk/pardata.html.)

The OFHS will do a search for you (minimal cost) - go to "Search Services" on their website at www.ofhs.org.uk.
