Silas...Don't give up.

Take the photo from Photobucket and save it to your desktop.

Then open it and make it really...really...really small....no more than 1 inch by 1 inch or 100 pixels by 100 pixels...

Save it as something else....a new name.....then try it
to load it into your profile

Silas: alicemaud is right - it's the width that is crucial

maximum width = 100 to 125 pixels

If you don't have a photo program - you should download this one...tis very good and easy to use. You can use it to resize your photo.

Thank you Indiapaleale. I do have the piccie on Photobucket as well, but that isn't working at the moment - something wrong with the site, but will give that a go once it's up and running, but thanks for the tip.

I've been reading the 'how to use rootschat' thingy ... there's an 'AVATAR' question (24 June 07) ...

Berlin-Bob replies :-
"we don't have rules that it must be a certain size"

and suggests that 10 KB is good .... 20 KB is pushing it a bit .....
