Topic: old German profession: Tabo?????b????meister? (Read 586 times)

I have an old document written in German and I can't figure out the profession of my ggg-grandfather (1807-1890), who seems to have lived all his life in Flensburg.
I'm almost sure it begins T-A-B-O, then about 6 letters later there is a B (maybe a B-R-I), then about 5 letters after said B, I'm pretty sure it says "meister". So:
T-A-B-O-?-?-?-?-?-?-B-R-I-?-?-?-M-E-I-S-T-E-R
I've looked at lists of old German and Danish professions, but nothing quite fits yet.
Any guesses?

Are you sure it is a B and not an ß (scharfes-S, or sz, pronounced ss) which looks very similar ?
that is a wonderful site you've found there; such a pity they haven't got to T yet

Thanks everyone - and sorry not to have a scan up yet.
The profession IN DANISH appears to be:
"Tobaksarbeider"
And in German that would be:
"Tabaksarbeiter" or "Tabacksarbeiter"
And it looks like it COULD be one of those, with the suffix (?) "meister", thus:
"Tabacksarbeitermeister"
If that's grammatically acceptable, at least.
But in my document (an Ahnen-Tafel, actually) the long "s" MIGHT be an "f" and there is another "k"-looking character in there, so maybe it reads:
"Tabackfabrikemeister"

A Fabrikmeister is something between a factory foreman and an Altgeselle (which is translated as "senior journeyman")
"A journeyman is a tradesman or craftsman who has completed an apprenticeship. In parts of Europe, as in later medieval Germany, spending time as a journeyman (Geselle), moving from one town to another to gain experience of different workshops, was an important part of the training of an aspirant master. In later medieval England, however, most journeymen remained as employees throughout their careers, lacking the financial resources to set up their own workshops"
So, Tabakfabrikmeister could be correct.

This is SLIGHTLY off-topic (albeit still MY topic), but I wonder if anyone can make sense of the surname of Johann Jacob on the scan. His father was Johann David USBECK and his daughter was Sophie USBECK, but why wouldn't that surname appear with him? It looks like:
Hus---eeck
I suppose the 4th letter is NOT an "s", for in a double "s" the first is long.
And the writer's long "h"s are usually more loopy - so is it an "f"?
Also, Sophie Luiese Wilhemine's surname is giving me trouble. I'm not sure if the first letter is "D" and I don't think there's a "u" in the name, as there's no stroke floating above the letters. The crease running through the middle doesn't help, either.
