Would some kind person please look up for me the marriage of
William Johnston/e and Ann/e Davidson 10th June 1864 at Lochrutton
Kirkcudbright.
Also any children born to this marriage Baptisms etc.
Also Parents of Ann/e Davidson & William Johnstone.

Glad that helped. Looking again at the certificate I see
that the name is written Johnston, not JohnstonE.
I have a list of monumental inscriptions for Lochrutton churchyard and have found Ann Davidson's parents.
Wm Davidson d. Lochfoot 26.10.1877 68, w Jannet Wilson died there13.11.1876 70. s William d Dumfries 31.1,1879 33, da Agnes d Lochfoot 17.11.1908, da Eliz postmistress Lochfoot 2.4.1926 77
and probably her grandparents
Geo Davidson d Lochfoot 13.1.1846 73, w Mary Rae d Haucroft,Parton 13.1.1862 84, s Robert d Milton of Urr 24.8.1820 22m

Hello. I came across this thread when I was looking for Lochfoot information. I realise that it is quite old now, but if you are interested, I have information on the family of Janet Wilson wife of Davidson the Blacksmith. I am happy to let you have this if it helps to fill in spaces going back on the Wilson side. I also have pictures of Wilson and Davidson graves at the Cemetry at Lochfoot.
