Hello everyone................

Is anyone researching the Archers of Derbyshire? I have an extensive history of the Archer family from Derbyshire (and Staffordshire), but am having problems with the earliest ones:

Thomas Archer - Born 1686 in Foston and Scropton of Derbyshire. He died in 1755 in Hatton. The family was established in West Derbyshire as early as 1600. They were thought to have come from Warwickshire and kin to the Archers of Umbersdale, Henley in Arden. Thomas was the son of an Unknown Archer and a Rose Unknown. They had four children we know of. Thomas, Samuel, Elizabeth and John.

Thomas married Mary Jackson on May 29, 1702 in Scropton. Mary was baptized on September 28, 1669 in the Church of Broughton, Derbyshire. Mary was the daughter of Abraham Jackson.

Thomas and Mary had the following children: Samuel, Isaac, Thomas, John and Elizabeth.

There are several thousand relations from this point on and we do have extensive information for those of you who are interested.
