Have just been reading through some Wiltshire info and came across your very useful Trowbridge Cemetery MI's. I don't suppose you came across the name Ledbury on your gravepacking expedition? There would be a few of them I would think? Not to worry if you didn't it's always worth asking! And if there is anyone out there who knows anything about the Knees family in connection with the New Central Garage, Trowbridge c1929/39 I would be very interested. Thanks for your time.

Hi there Nanny, I will have a look. Can you give me full names please? Do you know if they were of a particular religious persuasion as there are several more burial places in the town. I don't know about a Knees connection with a garage but there is a local Department store called Knees in the town centre. Will see what I can find out.

Thank you for that pointer with the Knees family, it was quite interesting. I have sent an e-mail to them but it was returned this morning so I have tried another address, so fingers x'd.

As for the names of my family, I have many but I am not too sure where they are. I remember a big Church in the centre of Trowbridge, is it St James. This is where I attended my grandmothers funeral back in 1978.

Albert Ellsmore Ledbury died 1960 husband
Donald Ledbury died 1978.
Michael Ledbury Age ?mths died 1919
Anne Ledbury Age ?26 died 1957
William Nelson Ledbury died 1930
Cora Jane Ledbury died 19??

Albert Bodman died 19?? He owned a bicycle shop before WWI
Mary Edith Bodman 19??

Thanks Nanny. I am at a bit of a standstill with this lot. Hubbys Grandmother was from Pontardulais. There is also a large Thomas family that appear to be related by marriage.
