SLEAN registration district ??
« on: Friday 24 August 07 13:58 BST (UK) »

I have found an entry in the death index, 1913 , the district is Slean.
ref no 2a.
Where is it, I can`t find any reference to it at all.
The closest clue is that Canterbury also has 2a for its`ref also.

There doesn't appear to e a registration district of Slean.  I suggest that it was Blean which is next to Canterbury.

Thanks, I think you are right, the first letter is rather blurred.

I have a lot of ancestors whose BMDs were registered in Blean. It covers today's towns of Whitstable and Herne Bay, and the rural districts south of there, as far as and including the northernmost parishes of Canterbury.
