Help
What am I doing wrong???
I am reasonably new to rootschat but from the time I started when I logged on and clicked 'show unread posts since last visit' it showed me things that had been posted since I logged out previously, but now it shows nothing and just gives me the opportunity to view all unread posts.

Don't panic. Just click on "all unread topics" at the bottom of that empty page.

Hi
Thanks for that, but that then gives me all 2905 pages that I haven't read and takes a while to load, I wondered why all of a sudden I wasn't getting a few pages to read when I log in, have things changed?

Hi
Surely there must be a way round this other than clicking all unread topics. I log out when I finish on rootschat and when I log back in there are no unread posts since last visit....I am getting fed up with having to load hundreds of pages every time I go into rootschat surely there must be another way round this, I never used to have this problem. There must be someone out there that can sort this out for me......pretty please

The only thing I can suggest is not logging out when you leave rootschat. Of course this is only practicable if the computer you use is only used by others you trust.
I never log out of rootschat - it means when I come back in I don't have to faff about logging back in.
I've had one other thought about this - do you delete your cookies, or is your pc set up to restrict cookies? If you are using internet explorer you can change your cookie policy (Internet Options/Privacy) - I have mine set to "Medium".
Hope this is of help - I can understand your frustration.

Hi Julian
Many thanks for trying to help. My IE settings are at Medium.
I have been on rootschat on and off all day but have only minimised the page when looking at other things - then I get unread posts since last visit updated each time I click it and it held everything that I didn't look at from the time I originally logged on.
Then I tried just clicking the x at top right hand corner. When I returned to rootschat I was still logged in but unread posts had returned to nil.
I am obviously destined to keep loading 3,000+ pages each time - I appreciate you trying to help - Many thanks, Rosie
