I am trying to find John Arnold b. 1812 in Weeting i have no information on him until he married Matilda Arnold in 1856, they had a daughter in 1860 called Ann Maria. In the 1871 census he is living with wife Matilda and Ann Maria in Weeting, he occupation is shown as Ag Lab and Greenwich pensioner.
I have also put a post in the common Room hoping to find info on Greenwich Pensioners. Any information would be appreciated,
Adrian

"My dear, I think the English pronounce it 'appiness"
thanks for the lookup, it more or less confirms that Arthur Arnold was born out of wedlock and that John was not the father. i also think that John and Matilda were cousins.
