Hi Aletan. I cannot find a death or marriage for him. Can you tell us what you know. I've looked on the 1st world war documents (I know he was a lot older, but not impossible) there are lots of Frank Merritt's. Could he have emigrated? A clue of some sort to work on. Dee

Alexandra, I cannot find any more info on the ships lists. You can also view it on www.ellisislandrecords.org - there's not much to see. Just a name, no forwarding address etc etc.
You should be able to track him now on www.ancestry.com starting with the US 1910 census plus check if he has married. I don't have a subscription for that, maybe someone else may be able to help you, but you will have to put an enquiry on the USA section of Rootschat. At least you know where he went. regards Dee

Hi Alexandra. Your more than welcome to the info. It was a pleasure to find it. I hope you are able to follow it up in the US. Don't forget if you need help getting going, you can post on here on the Emigrants section. Happy hunting and best wishes Dee
note: there are literally heaps of Frank Merritt's in the US going back to the 1500 and 1600's.
