I have a book of crawfordjohn death records if anyone would like me to look anyone up.
They only go up to 1854.

A long shot but could you look for the deaths of John Murray and his wife Catherine Martin.   They were alive in 1841 aged 75 and 65 but dead by 1851.   They were in the parish of Crawford but Catherine came from Crawfordjohn.

Would you be kind enough to see if there are any McDonalds.  I have a large family of them living around Crawfordjohn, so can't be specific as to first names as many were the same.

McDonald, John, abode - Abington, Die 21-nov 1842 age- c60-
Alias McPhail.  Interred Crawford Churchyard.

Thanks Caroline - not sure whether he is one of mine or not.  I have several Johns so will investigate further.   The alias McPhail is interesting though and would possibly point to him not being one of mine.

NAME: Edward Kerr

ABODE:  Crawfordjohn

DIED: 06 Feb 1829

AGE: 51

Husband of Janet Tinto.  Buried in this churchyard.

There is also a William Kerr age 14, son of William Kerr and Catherine Hunter.
There are two Tintos, William Tinto  and his wife Elisabeth McKIndly.

Do you want the dates for these as well?

i have found janet ,wife of edward still living in crawfordjohn in the 1841 census with daughter agnes and a margaret tinto.
i would love to know the dates of death of the others so i might be able to fit them into my family tree.

thanks to you i have made great progress in the last 24 hours on the tinto side of my tree. not so with the kerrs. the only information i have on edward is the death date you supplied and i can't find his birth or marriage records. could you please have a look to see if there are any death records under the surname kerr with any christian name.
