Hi,
I am looking for the baptism of Benjamin Ley (Lay or Laye).
He was married to Hannah and had eleven children whilst living in Didcot. The first child was baptised in 1781 and the last in 1804.
I cannot find his baptism so far - has anyone else come across it?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Peony

Hi There......
Not sure if it is of any significance to you, but there was a Benjamin Lay, buried at Kidlington in 1796.........
Regards
Jeannie

Hi,
Thank you for this - I will try and get a look at the Kidlington Parish records.
The distance is no problem, as his son married in East Lockinge and then spent the rest of his life in Hambleden, Bucks.
Thanks for the information
