Another 3 or 4 years to wait?! Ugh!

Yes, I am researching back starting with my Dad.  He knows next to nothing because his father went to Canada from Manea and never had contact with his family in England again.  So I've just started to do some research to see what I can dig up on our ancestors.  I've already learned loads but now I want to know even more!

The only thing I can suggest is a visit to the Records Office at Cambridge, that is if you live near Cambridge. If you do visit you have to let them know you are coming and on what date

If you live in Canada though it might work out cheaper to buy the birth cert of one of the Ada Albert Olive etc children, and you'll get the mother's maiden name.

okay, that's a good idea.  I'll also try to get a look at that marriage certificate for George  Marshall and Hannah Hicks to see who his father is.
