Hi,

I'm trying to progress this Irish line of my family tree, and would appreciate any advice/assistance!  Smiley

I have located my Great, great grandmother Johanna Bedley/Begley on both the 1891 and 1901 Wales Census returns, where she was with her Irish husband Joseph Bennett in Swansea.

They married in Swansea in 1886, so must have both come over at some point before this. The 1901 Census states that she was from Waterford, and having looked at the Griffiths Valuation on IrishOrigins, there are quite a few!

The 1901 Census has her DoB as 1866, the 1891 Census has it as 1869 and her marriage cert puts her age as 18 (thus 1868ish). However, I can find no suitable entry in the Irish BMD Index. There are two for 1866 (One in Cork, and one in Dingle), but they're also listed on the IGI, and the father's name does not match that which is stated on the marriage cert (Nicholas Bedley - Mariner)!

Any ideas would be greatly welcomed!!  Grin Grin
