Hi there.
The photo is the wedding picture of my grandparents - the couple in the middle.  Mary (Walker) married Ralph Smith in 1920.  Dont know who the best man and bridesmaid are.
Did you know there is a very comprehensive Walker family tree - 1851 - 1997 compiled by OB Walker which contains some stories from family members (eg Mum) about William and Marion's children.
I would be happy to send you a copy if you dont have it - it also has photos.  I'd also be happy to copy the apprenticeship record for you if you want
Send me a private message and I will let you know my contact details

Hi Karin

As a new member, silverjam needs to make another two posts before he/she can use the Private Message service.

Silverjam, welcome to Rootschat  Smiley Just make another couple message on here and you and Karin can then exchange emails through the PM service. To contact Karin, simply click on the small green scroll under her name on the l/h side under her name and it will take you through to the PM service, which works very much like an email account with an inbox/outbox.

Hi,
I scrutinized the photo, which is great and I think that the two women/girls are sisters.  If you look at the shape of the face, colouring and hair colour they look so much alike, there has to be a relationship between them, either sisters or cousins.

Thanks Marcie - I never even considered sisters.  But of course it would be - there were 12 in the family.  Now just to work out which sister  Smiley Min? Lizzie? Agnes? Nellie? Alice? Charlotte?  I am guessing Alice or Min as they were closest -  I guess if I get their marriage record it will be on that. Family history is fun!

You are right, either really good fund or hair pulling frustrating in a nice sort of way.  Gives a deeper understanding of how our world works.  And lots more......
