1841/51 Census Lookup Please - GIDDINGS

George Henry Giddings was born c. 1834 in Flitwick or Flitton Bedfordshire according to 1861 and 1871 census details.  His father is William, mother name unknown.  He married Eliza Marryweathers on 23rd July 1856 in St Paul, Bedford, Bedfordshire,England  Trying to trace George’s mother and her marriage.

The first place to start, at least for Beds, is the IGI at www.familysearch.org

There's a George Henery Giddings baptised in 1833 at Clophill, parents William and Elizabeth. Clophill and Flitton are only a mile apart.

You'll also find what appears to be the marriage of William and Elizabeth in 1832 in Flitton

Thanks for the information, you have the correct family in 1841.  I have got back one more generation and also obtained siblings of George.  I  found the marriage in Flitton in 1832.  Have you found the census of this couple in 1851?

There is a also birth of a sarah  born Nov. 17 1839 / christened 1840 Clophill, Bedford to parents William Giddings & Elizabeth...J.J.

Her birth & death are on the BMD for Ampthill so mother's surname may be on certs...Didn't see Ann or Louise
