Meldreth - Memorial to George PIKE - COMPLETED Thanks
« on: Saturday 08 September 07 11:32 BST (UK) »

Hi All,

I understand that in the Holy Trinity Church in Meldreth is a plaque, or a memorial of some sort, to a George PIKE.

In his will of 1658 he specified that a large amount of money should be spent on his memorial (a bit vain of him!!) so I hoping that whatever it is, still exists today.

If anyone sees it or knows what is written on it, I would be very appreciative or any information.

Thanks

Di

Just an update folks.

The Friends of the Holy Trinity Church in Meldreth are the most helpful people. They sent me a picture of the memorial, the grave of George Pike and lots of other pictures as well as some history of the family.

Many thanks Tricia for the suggestion

A great result

Thanks
