Can anyone help me with a marriage for Caroline Trigg nee Phillips, born 1838 in Crowle, sister of my Gt Grandfather. I found her on the 1861 census working as a servant in the Parish of St Martins aged 23 years. After that no trace until the 1901 census when shown as housekeeper to her sister Eliza in the Claines district. Caroline is one of my many"brick walls" ! Grateful for any help from anywhere.

1881 census has a Caroline Lugg, born Crowle, as a widow, and a servant at RG11 1249 91 14 Someone with full access can probably see image and see if it is actually Trigg (that is assuming marriage is pre 1881)

Hi Suz,
Many thanks for that. No wonder I couldn't find her! That's also solved a mystery of a Gt Nephew with the middle name of Lugg. Wondered where it came from.
