Richard Winchester married Caroline White at Frensham on 11 Mar 1840 and I believe that they had at least 2 children - William b1842 at Frensham and James b1848.
I am trying to find out more about Richard and especially who his parents were.
I would be grateful for any assistance with this.

also on the opposite page is amos winchester age 30,john winchester age 2, and in another house edward winchester age 20,

Hello,
I've just logged on after a long time away and noticed you are wanting information on Richard Winchester.
Caroline White is one of my relatives and she married Richard Winchester unfortunately I've been unable to find his parents either.
Have you been able to find any more information on them. Would be interested to know as I am in England at the moment.

Does the 1840 marriage not list a father?

- mentions a 'Edward Pankirst Winchester' whose parents were supposedly William and Ann (although I'm not sure how convincing the 1820 IGI baptism is).
There is a Mary Ann Pankhurst Winchester who married Stephen Coombes in Frensham in 1823 - a sister, or the remarriage of the mother? (It seems like on 1841 this is the Mary Ann Coombes who may be widowed, a broom maker in Frensham with a number of children, aged 35, which would make her more likely a sister).
