Nicholson family Aspatria

Is there any one out there researching the Nicolson family of Aspatria who might be able to help me?  I’m digging into family Ashton and have got as far back as Robert Ashton b. 1784 who married Martha Nicolson 1782 in Dalston [she was the daughter of John and Rebecca Nicolson of Aspatria]. 
Robert and Martha had a son William b. in Dalston 1807 they then disappear from the radar.  William turns up in 1841 in Bury and then again in 1851 in Preston. 
Does anyone have Nicolsons in their tree who might be able to give me some information?
I don’t know whether the whole family left Cumberland or if it was just William who struck out to Lancashire on his own.  [William records his occupation as ‘engineer’ probably working in cotton mills].

I am researching the NICHOLSON family and I have mine located in Ainstable, Gill, Greystoke, Cockermouth and Whitehaven.

Hi I have Mary Nicholson Born 1767 Married to Thomas Jackson born 1770 Aspatria married in Newton Reigny Cumberland 11 August 1793.
Any help??
