Nathaniels' father John MOBLEY was with him in 1851, aged 60, which gives a birth year of about 1790-91, which may be a bit young to have a son in 1807. John's birthplace was Sulgrave.
In 1851 there is a Thomas aged 44 with wife Susannah, and family in Sulgrave. Says he was born there. Is this the Thomas you mean. If so he has an uncle James MOBLEY living with him, aged 78, born Sulgrave.
Could John and Thomas be brothers.
There was a William born c1797 in Sulgrave as well.
The IGI has a number of submitted entries for some Sulgrave MOBLEYs. Looks like the above James married Alice FRENCH in 1792. Also John marrying c1818 at Sulgrave. No extracted entries.
Looking on Familysearch they have the Bishops Transcripts 1705-1880 on two films, which you can order through your local FHC. This should have who belongs to who. unless someone else has access to the actual registers.

John's occupation on 1851 census when he was living with Nathaniel was Master Tailor.

Hi, I asked the original question about any link between Thomas and Nathaniel Mobley.Thank you for your help in this.It seems clear that Nathaniels Grand-father ,James Mobley ,born 8/8/1773,had a brother, name unknown, his son was Thomas Mobley born 1807.In the 1851 census Thomas has his uncle James living with him aged 78,just right. My connection with the Mobleys is Sarah, Nathaniels youngest daughter.born 1849 in Sulgrave. In the mid 1850s Nathaniel and family moved to Wednesbury Staff,in the black country. He worked in a iron foundry a young worker there was called John Lucas. He married Sarah in 1863,and so the story carrys on.Thank you all for your help and if you find any more info let me know, P Lucas
