Hello
Could someone please look up Thomas Turner, age about 12, and born Uffington, Shrewsbury, with his father John Turner born 1798, Roddington, Shrewsbury on the 1841 census please?Mother may be Mary, but I am not 100 per cent  Huh

John was a jobbing gardener in 1871, 73 years old.

I think it would be the first one, as Thomas age is correct, 12.
And John's age would have been 43.

Could you please look for John and Mary in 1851?
Thomas has left home by then, and married.(I have that census)

That's them, William and John were brothers, and William married Harriet Rogers who was a border with William Turner in 1871 and 1881.

Can you please tell me if one of the servants were called Harriet Williams?

Thomas Littlehales u 24 servant b. Shrops Fitz
Hannah Hopkins    m 23 Housekeeper b.Oswestry
Jane Roberts         u  16 House servant b.Ruyton

The Turners are indexed on ancestry as James, by the way  Roll Eyes

They transcribed the Turners as James.  Huh Roll Eyes

It does look a bit like James to be fair!

Was looking for Hanah and John but there are a few candidates as servants, on their own with other families, and birthplaces are not really known from the 1841 so it's hard to tell if they're the right ones, sorry.
