Trying to find Sarah Hopkins born 1802 in Petworth, Sussex she emigrated to Canada in 1837 with her children Emily Hopkins born abt 1826, Haise Esue Hopkins born abt 1828 and Isabella Hopkins born abt 1833. On the records of her voyage she is listed as head of family. I haven't been able to find any record of this family in Canada. She may have continued on to the USA. Her brother George emigrated in 1844 also part of the petworth emigration project. One confusing thing is she was born with the surname of Hopkins and 2 of her children only have Sarah as parent on christening records but Isabellas has James and Sarah. Children all have surname of Hopkins
