Hi Peter and Pete, I am not completely sure to who I am replying to. This reply is to say many thanks to you both. First to Pete I'm slightly confused , where does Thomas Yoppe fit in, in the Diddlebury Parish Register Hereford 1583? I'm also confused by the Latin translations ie: sep does this mean some one has died or have I got the wrong end of the stick so to speak? Sorry to be so difficult, you can see where I'm going if he's died how can he father a child? Please forgive me, you can see I'm confused. Peter you maybe having a problem on my address with the dots, there are only two one either side of the plus sign. The National Archives looks as though it could be interesting going back to 1548 on the Yoppes/Yopps. My grateful thanks to you both. Please reply with further information. Many thanks. Regards Eric.

Hi Peter, Very many thanks for your prompt reply. I was thrilled to get the baptism date of Thomas Yoppe Dec 30th 1593. I have no record of a William Yoppe or his marriage of 1699 to Priscilla Homes. I can only presume at this stage that he may have been a brother to Thomas Yappe of 1666/7, I also presume that the death of Thomas Yoppe on 30th Oct 1699 was the same Thomas Yoppe of 1666/7, or again he could also be a brother to Francis Yoppe 1636, the permutations are many. Very many thanks and kind regards, Eric.

Hi Eric
Now Im confused
You have my sympathies searching that surname I can see it as Yoppe, Yapp, Yap, Yop, Yopp, Yip, Yape, and proberbaly some more Ive missed,
Norbury is just out of my reach with what I got here, However I will Gladly do you any look ups you want on this side of the border " Shropshire " Just give us a name I will use wildcards in the spelling to be sure of getting a match

Hi Peter and Pete,, Very many thanks for your very prompt replies. A small family has now arrived ,I'm now being cheeky, please forgive me. Who was William Yoppes [circ 1564 ] wife and where and when were they married? I'm fairly confident we are on the right lines I've heard my late parents talking about Norbury and family living there many moons past. Very many thanks for helping me out, on what I frequently find so confusing at times. Kindest regards, Eric.

Hi Peter, Many thanks, you've given plenty to think about. I will now try and unravel the many questions and answers from the details you have so kindly supplied. I recognize so many names and places from [later] earlier members I have in my family tree. The family as whole seem to have revolved around Lydbury North and surround villages. Peter can I ask you a question from some earlier detail you supplied me on Thomas Yoppe of Farlow 1662. What do you think the following words refer to?, [goods and Cattels and Chatis ] I presume the first word to be Chattels, the second word I'm rather lost on. any idea's? Once more, very many thanks, Kind and appreciative regards, Eric.

Hi Peter, I find this most interesting , Richard Yapp must have been in a fairly large way of business at that time to have so many animals for sale in the Spring of the year. Very many thanks. Kind regards Eric.
