I've been trying to find Albert Stark listed on a census with his wife whoose name i do not know. They had a daughter Georgina Delphine Stark who in later certificates was Delphine G Stark Huh

On Georginas wedding certificate in 1900 her father Albert is listed as deceased. She was born in 1872 so he must have been around at least up until 1872.

Have you any idea where he was born or when  Huh  Did it give his occupation on the marriage cert.  Huh

He was a Valet.
He would have been born before the birth of Delphine his daughter who was born in 1873. So he must have been born before 1857.

A copy of Delphine/Georgina's birth certifcate will give her mother's name.

I have been unable to find a copy anywhere on the BMG
There is no listing for her although my family says she was born in Berkshire.

Are you certain of her age? Details like age and if the father is deceased or not are not always accurate on the marriage cert.

Still looking for a birth for her; any chance she was born in Scotland/Ireland or abroad?

I cant find Albert or Georgina/Delpine in 1881  Huh Tried varient spellings  Huh

Checked complete bmd 1871 - 1873 inc, none listed  Huh

Ive found her in 1901 with hubby Arthur Eade it states she was b 1872 Berk,Berkshire but no sign of her before that

1871 has an Albert Stark b Berkshire 1843 (he is a Butler) with wife Julia b Switzerland

They are visitors in St Marylebone in the household of a Thomas Myford

This may be just coincidence but......

In the US 1870 CENSUS there is an Albert Stark b 1843 in Switzerland!!!!!
However it says his wife is Hannah b 1838 in Prussia

Can find no trace of Albert or Julia in 1881

I wonder if they had gone to Switzerland and thats where Georgina/Delphine was born as there is no record of her here  Huh

Hi - I have been trying all sorts of different searches this afternoon to try and get a lead on this one - it is very frustrating.  Not only can I not see any likly candidates for Delphine/Georgina before 1901,  I can't find the Albert born 1843 in Berkshire before the 1871 (or after) where Sisterjane found them,  all very strange.  I did notice that in 1901 she had a son Arthur aged 4,  he is probably the   Arthur Frank   Stark registered in   Lambeth  1d 439  in March 1897  (though nothing seems deffinite with this family)  his certificate would be one of the earliest sightings of her possibly??

Can I ask who the witnesses were at her marriage?  - perhaps they might give us a lead.  Are there any family stories which might help?  some of my lot were in service at this sort of time and we know who with through stories that were passed down.
