The above Richard Grooms age in the 1821 Census was given as 40years old and he was a basket maker at the time. By the time the 1841 Census was taken he appeared to be a Timber Yard Manager in Wellington, Shropshire., his age given was 60 years old, so his date of birth is fairly accurate.
Who were his parents? Did he have brothers and sisters? I;m struggling on this one can any one please help?
Richard married Catherine Pinnock on March 2nd 1802 at Eyton Upon The Weald Moors, Shropshire by License. The Vicar of Wellington refusing to marry them in Wellington because they were Non Conformists.
Any help on the family history would be greatly appreciated.
