Burial at Pickering 1817 to 1849
« on: Wednesday 19 September 07 22:42 BST (UK) »

Hi, Can anyone help?
Does anyone have access to burial records at Pickering?
I have three problems.
Firstly George Thompson & Mary Harding married at Pickering 17th June 1871. They had seven children between 1817and 1829. Two were called George the first baptised 7th October 1826 and the second baptised 2nd March 1828 both at Pickering. Can any body tell me when the first George was burried.
Second George Thompson & Mary Harding  had a daughter Ann baptised 6th January 1822 at Pickering. She was not living with her parents in the 1841 census. As i am struggling to find this Ann Thompson in the 1841 census (there is a possible record at Scarborough). I would appreciate it if  someone could confirm that a Ann Thompson was not burried at Pickering between 1822 & 1841.
Third I cannot find George Thompson or Mary Thompson nee Harding in the 1851 census, however there are two deaths of a George Thompson registered at Pickering in 1849. One in Q3 1849 and the other in Q4 1849. If anyone has access to burial records at Pickering they may be able to tell me which of the two burials of George Thompson is the father and which is the son.
Many thanks in anticipation of your help.
Regards

Hi
Sorry nobody has replied to this.  If you live near an LDS centre (worldwide and listed on familysearch.org) you can get the film of the parish register and search it there to find the burials.  They are fascinating and you often pick up lots of extra information.   The records will be at the Northallerton record office too.
