1841 lookup please

Morning all,

Would someone mind looking for Ann Warren b abt 1815 Tring Hertfordshire. She married in 1849 as a widow, I would like to know her first husbands name & if there were any children please. Thats assuming she was married in 1841.

Do you have the marriage certificate for the marriage in 1849?  If she was a widow, it should show her first married name.  However the following might be possibilities.

Marriage to a James Lambert Sep 1841  Royston & C Vol 6, Page 769(another name for Royston)

Death of a James Lambert Dec 1843 Royston & C Vol 6, page 372.

As I have no idea whether Royston is anywhere near Tring you will have to look into these events yourself.  Apart from the marriage above, there are lots of marriages of Ann Warrens in the period 1837 to 1849, but most of them show two or three men who she could have married.

Thank you for looking Liz,
On the 1841 census Ann Warren is living with a Tompkin family, so I searched for marriages of Ann Tompkin and found Charles Warren m Ann Tomkins 4/9/1836. I'm guessing that this is my Ann.

Ann then married Thomas Archer both widows on 11/2/1849.

Thank you again, but I think I have now filled the gap.

Royston isn't far from Tring, Royston used to be in Cambridgeshire but now in Herts,

I wasn't sure whether you meant Ann Warren was her maiden name, or first married name.
