I had a look round the cencuses etc earlier and found them in Illinois from  1870 in the US cencus...also found Claus and family in the 1861 Cencus(England).

Also saw your previous post where you say they went to the US

Think I've sussed it now. This is the son of Claus, who married Anna DITTMAN, yes and then they went of to the USA.
