Hodgson's & Grahams from Workington
« on: Friday 21 September 07 20:27 BST (UK) »

My grt grandmother Jane Graham nee Hodgson was born in Workington 1823  I have her baptism entry St Michaels church Workington . Her father was Joseph and her mother Martha.
Josephs occupation was listed as a Waller, can anyone tell me what this was ? Perhaps a dry stone wall builder ?

On a recent trip to the Lakes I visited St Michaels Church, Workington. In the church grounds I found a gravestone of some Hogdson family members, their christian names are the same as Jane's family that I have on 1841 census,( but of about 2 generations previous ) so as names are handed down generations, they could be my ancestors ? Joseph, Mary who died 1777 and  Elizabeth  Help needed please to find any links !

I have someone who was a Waller, and other times a (Stone) Mason, so I guess he made walls.
