I know this is a longshot  but worth a try

I am looking for anyone in this area who may be researching the Brand / Burgess family.

I believe I have located the birth and marriage of my grt grandfather Gregory Burgess to St Ninians, Stirlingshire, he married in 1874 to Janet Mcneil Brand,  and moved to Kent, England, we think he joined the Navy in 1880.

It appears he may have left a daughter called Ann / Annie Burgess with her grandparents -  surname Brand. Annie Burgess was born c1875

I have traced Annie through to 1901 Scottish census and it appears she too had a daughter called Margaret, if this snippet of information is familiar to anyone would like to hear from you.

We knew we had Scottish links with the Burgess family  but I think I have now found the family but need to verify this,  I would like to fill in some big gaps on this side of the family,
