william Fielder bn c1828

Hi

I'm looking for more info on my partners family with regard to William Fielder born in Bramdean c1828, with particular regard to his parents.

We know he married Henrietta Forder from Sparsholt in Winchester in 1848 and had 3 boys, Thomas, Walter & Albert.

Looking for info from Census in 1841 with regard to his parents.  FreeCEN doesn't give any info.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Not having a lot of success with this.  It sounds as if you haven't seen his marriage certificate which would at least give you his father's name.

At the moment I can't find a baptism for him in Bramdean.  Not even sure I can find him close by either. Huh

No unfortunately havent seen the marriage cert.  Seems like next step may be a visit to records office in Winchester as they have parish records for Bramdean.

I now have a copy of the marriage certificate to Henrietta Forder on 1 Jul 1848 St Michaels Parish Church, Winchester. William is shown as 25 at the time of the marriage on the certificate, which would make his birth abt 1823.

Further confusion as William Fielder's father is shown as James Woods on the certificate, whose profession is shown as a groom.  I can find nothing on 1841, 1851, 1861 census for a likely James Woods, who by logic would have been born 1785 + or - 20 years.

Any ideas where I can go from here please?
