Hi there,
I'm hoping someone with a Skye connection might recognise where these pictures originally came from.
It looks as if they came from a book and were used by the RAF during WW2 as part of Air Navigator/Observer training.
They came from the posessions of my father-in-law who was a navigator on a mosquito intruder, kia 1943. So far as we know he never went to Skye so we are puzzled as to why he had these pictures. There are no negatives to go with them suggesting they were part of his training in the RAF.

The "from ......" with each photograph suggests they have been taken from ground level or perhaps on the hillside.
I would have thought Air Navigator /Observer training would perhaps concentrate more on overhead shots unless they were training for a low level operation in somewhere like Norway. I suppose any advance pictures provided by the resistance would be similarly from ground level so it might be a useful exercise to be familiarise the aircrew in the use of them in that sort of terrain.
There is an RAF forum here, I would try asking there as there are some knowledgeable people there.
As far as I know the only RAF on Skye in WWII would have been at the radar station at RAF Kendrom.
