Charles Sutherland m. Catherine Gordon about 1780 with children:
Donald Sutherland, b. Oct 1786 in Reay
Sarah Sutherland, b. Apr 1794 in Halkirk
Janet Sutherland, b. Mar 1798 in Halkirk
Donald (above) married Isabel Budge in Bower in 1807 with children:
George, b. 1807 in Bower
Benjamin, b. 1810 in Halkirk
William H. H.,b.1812 in Stemster; married Elizabeth MacKay in Thurso in 1835
John, b.1814 in Bower, married Euphemia in 1840 in Canisbay
Issac, b. 1817 in Stemster, married Margaret Innes in Bower in 1842
Henny, b. 1819
Gordon b. 1821 in Bower married Johan McKay in 1852 in Thurso
James b. 1823
Donald b. 1826 in Orkney Islands I am trying to establish dates,locations, marriages, children, etc for any of these individuals and their extended families. I descend from the WHH Sutherland line. Any assistance will be appreciated.

have you looked into the Caithness community website?

or the official documents at Scotlands People, a pay to view site, well worth a visit as the Scots kept much better records that England!
My Shearer tree connect to Donald and Isobel and I found much of that info in Roots.com family trees.
