I have found a Gilbert Williamson age 53, born Dumfrieshire on the 1881 census living at Grasmere Cottage, Tarbock Rd. Huyton with Roby. Lancashire.  together with his wife Elizabeth 49, born Westmorland. and son James Thomas 24. and daghter Mary Ellen 22.
Could some one look at an ealier census, say 1861 and 1871 to see if there are other members of this family.  The later two are listed as being born Knowsley, Prescot.
