Hi,
On the label of these products was a photo of a chef in uniform, Can anyone remember ? I am sure I can remember these from my childhood, late '60s early '70s, and I think they may have made baked beans too. I hope I am not mixing tham up with another old favourite - Daddies.

Well I've just done a search and the only thing I could come up with was Nestle. I think they still do some Chef sauces but probably in packet form.
You can buy an advert on www.signsof-thetimes.com/groceries3.htm
But the picture is too small for me to see a maker.

Well done Sylviaann,
I did a search as well but didn't find that site to buy signs at. I think the Nestle make is Chef-mate and probably not the same thing.
The other thing I thought of is Collectables, there are people who specialise in food packaging but you may have to buy at an auction.
Good Luck Kazza.

Hi there
I would have thought that the most obvious place to look would be the prop department in a Film Studio. They often recreate period drama's and would therefore have lots of sources (pardon the pun) for this type of scenery.
Anyone know an e-mail adress or web site for a studio or 'props dept'.

It is lovely to hear about people's successes, especially when the forum has helped.
