I wonder if someone would look on the 1851 Census and see if they can find George Glen born In Killearn Stirling. He would be @ 53 years of age. His wife was Susan McIlquham

Hello Margaret,
I couldn't find a George Glen on the 1851 (or 1841) census born in Killearn and aged about 53.
I am wondering if the age is correct? I had a quick look on SP to check the marriage date of George and Susan and it is shown as 14th December 1810 in Killearn. Age of 53 would make George born c. 1798 and aged 12 in 1810.

Hi LIndsay - Sorry to lead you up the garden path, but I have made an error and you were sharp enough to pick it up. Thanks for looking up the 1841, 1851 Censuses.
George Glen married Susan Mcilquham 14 Dec 1810 in Killeran Stirling. George was b 08 Jul 1780 in St. Ninians Stirling, and Susan was b@ 1790 in Drymen Stirling. I have not been able to find her birth anywhere. therefore I do not know her parents.
