Hi ladies, sorry to be ages replying but I have been having email problems and have not been receiving notifications of forum replies.

I am indeed lucky to have a picture of George - the actual portrait is in the USA and the present owner kindly sent a photograph.  The current owner is descended from George's first wife whilst I am descended from the second.

Hi Kerry

i am at work too! just got my tree up online quickly  Grin

i have not reserached these Funnells at all.

when i started my tree i just gathered info. willy nilly without double checking(before my free trial on ancestry expired too), (including the Funnell info.) now some of it has proved to be incorrect so i am concentrating on my more direct lines to sure up this info. before branching out.

Lucy Funnell b. 1815 married a Hickman this is confirmed i am at some point hoping to connect her with my partner who is also a Hickman from Sussex.

Now that is interesting because my Phoebe Funnell married a Richard Hickman from Hellingly, I believe.  She was from Chiddingly.

They emigrated to Tasmania.

Kerry

i hope it goes ok, last time i was growing the colour out my hairdresser - who is a friend said she would put some highlights into the roots to blend it in a bit, anyway 45 minutes later she had dyed the whole lot of roots and i had to grown them out all over again! until i got fred up and just dyed it again.

this time i have gone for the opposite, to put some lowlights the colour of my roots into the lengths of my hair to try and blend it in that way, i said not many 4/5 she said you want mrore than that i said ok 8 i geuss it depends on the width of them - fingers crossed!

perhaps we should get together and compare our records as we both have a lot for Heathfield,

Hi Toni

Just washed my hair, not quite so drastic  Grin Grin

It might be worth you having a look at http://www.dottyongraphics.com/Genealogy/SURNAMES/FUNNELL/funnell_connection.htm  there are loads of Funnell records there as well as various family trees.  I found the children's baptism records of William and Abigail Barber.  Also Lucy.

If you ever wanted the guided tour of Punnetts Town, I'm your man (or woman)   Grin Grin Grin Grin

Morning rumpuscat

I don't think I have any links with those Funnells.  Although having said that at the moment I have John Funnell marrying Mary Willard 1790 in Chiddingly.  He is from Ripe and she is from Chiddingly and I cannot find a baptism for John.

Hi toni

Glad the lowlights went well, that's you ready for Christmas ha ha!!!

Don't think it can be my Mary Willard but I wonder if she is in the tree somewhere.  Also another of my names - Pilbeam, my grandfather was a Pilbeam.  I shall have to check them out to see if I can find a link to Susan Pilbeam and Nicholas Willard.
