to save trawling from the 1950s onward - what milestones in his life are you aware of ?

Kids birthdates ?

Pension drawdown ?

etc - any date that would be a later starting point to search ?

There were no children to this marriage.
His wifes name was Mollie Eileen East born Luton 1931
They separated in the 1960's.
We had been told he died in the 70's or 80's in Hatfield Hertfordshire but I can't find it anywhere.
He was one of about  9 or 10 births (possibly a twin who's sibling died at birth or very young) and at least one other died young.
They are all meant to have Bentinck in their names so I thought that they would be easy to find - famous last words.
Many thanks for your help.

Have you been through the GRO death indexes, quarter by quarter?

He doesn't appear in the 1984 onwards deaths
