sidell problem

i have a problem in 1901 mary sidell widow age 74 is living with her grandson arthur sidell
if her married name is mary who was her husband. which one of the sidell boys did she marry. its not daniel as he married elizabeth appleton age 82 in 1901 and she is living next door with her grandchild annie bodimead. as she is 12 years younger than elizabeth i would assume she is her sister in law. can anyone help?

this would tie in with Arthurs birth perhaps Arthur is Annis child out of wedlock?

what you really need to do is find Arthur in 1891 to hopefulyl confirm his parentage and subsequently his grandparents.

looking at the 1891 census he was the son of William and Rachael Sidell, which I posted earlier, no other Arthur born Worstead with the name Sidell Huh

I would say that on the 1891 census that William Sidell who is married to Rachael had a son called Arthur, which is backed up by the 1891 census as Arthur is there as son of William and Rachael.
So Arthur on the 1901 census would be the grandson of Mary, who was the mother of William, am I correct, or have I lost the plot Grin Grin

now i am confused!

Mary doesn't appear with a son William in 1871-1901

i can't look at any other census other than 1881.which is free

i have found 3 births for Arthur Sidell in Norfolk (on FreeBMD)

Q1 1853 Tunstead
Q2 1886 - as posted earlier
Q2 1917 - Ely (MMN Sidell)

on familyrelatives 1866-1920 (which is complete)
they have the later two of the above and
Q2 1915 Smallburgh (MMN Pestell)
