Hi,
I've got the marriage certificate of my g/gparents,
Thomas Winfield dob1866 (Kirk Hallam?)
Alice Taylor dob 1866 (Kirk Halam?)
married 11th Sept 1886 Ilkeston'
Thomas's father was William Winfield.
problem - I cannot find where Thomas was born so I could apply for his birth certificate.
All help appreciated, thanks.

I had a quick look for their marriage, that was in the reg district of Bashford, do you think that could be the same for his birth?
Have you had a look at this site

Can see these two that are registered in Bashford, maybe worth asking if either have a dad called William??

The reg district is Basford not Bashford !
It includes parts of nottinghamshire and parts of Derbys -Ilkeston is one of the areas it includes-Ilkeston is quite close to Kirk hallam and possibly comes under basford District too
