Hello Danone,

At a glance there appears to be three Joseph Walkers connected with Thringstone .. ..

Joseph, b. 1805 married to Jane - Earthenware Hawker

Joseph, b. 1849 married to Ann - Coal Miner

Joseph, b. 1855 married to Emma - Coal Higgler in 1871 then Coal Dealer in 1881

Would you know which one you need the occupation for?

Kindest regards,

In 1861 Joseph's occupation was .. Horse Driver in Pit, in all later census retuns he was a Miner.

If you need any further details please don't hesitate to ask.

Kind regards,

To be perfectly honest Danone - if I had a query relating to a particular place, as in this instance - it might be best to post it on the relevant county board.  Undecided

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/board,22.0.html

I'm sure someone will be able to help - or at least they will be far better informed than I am in local matters.

Good luck,
