PM Limit???

I have tried sending a PM to someone whom Im helping with their research but when I do I get this message :

PM could not be sent to '********' due to the max. PM limit.

Why is there a limit to sending PM's? as I have only sent 10 messages to help this person. I know you can swap email addresses but some are not comfortable with doing that so how can you continue helping people here if a limit is in force?

Shanko,

People who have posted two or less messages on RootsChat ('RootsChat Pioneers') have their inbox on RootsChat personal messages restricted to twenty messages. If they delete older messages to make room then they can continue receiving personal messages.

Users who are active on RootsChat, or should I say, those who have posted more than two messages do not have this restriction.

If you send me the username of the person (by personal message) you are trying to contact, then I will see if we can make contact with them.

Dear Shanko - if you have such a lively PM exchange with this  other person you may be better off using ordinary emails Huh No limits on size and add whatever attachments you please.

Even better - encourage the user to post at least two messages on RootsChat, then there is no limit on the number of personal messages recieved.
