My family has not been able to make a connection into England for over 40years. Trying to find a Robert Fisher with parents Robert Fisher and Ann Jeffery, he was born approx 1837-39. He had an older brother Joseph who may have migrated to Canada. Robert was the youngest in a family of 11. This is all part of a puzzle and I do not know how much of it is true. If anyone could give me a lead I would be soooo happy.

It may be worth asking for a 1841 census look up in Somerset.
Robert should still be with his parents then. Good Luck,

I hate to be negative here, but the 1841 census isn't indexed. So someone would need a specific place in Somerset to search for.
I had a look at the Somerset marriage index and couldn't see a marriage for this couple. Also had a quick look at the 1851 index and couldn't see a Robert married to Ann with son Robert (though someone else might like to double check).
