I have already put this up on the occupation bit of this site, i have put it here too as i am not sure if its a local thing?
I have recently found a list of people who attended a funeral in 1915, it states that one of the mourners was a 'Judges Trumpeter with the late Mr Moore' what was a Judges Trumpeter and what was involved. (the deceased was a Bugle Major)

I think it might be local. I typed in the phrase in Google, and got something from the Norfolk Museums Service.
Not very specific, but reading between the lines, I think it might be a Herald - he would play a fanfare as the Judge approached. Perhaps when he was at the local assizes to alert the town, maybe?
