Simpson/Hambleton Families

I am researching the Simpson and Hambleton families.  With regard to the Simpson's - I have reached James Simpson born 1849 and William Hambleton (snr) born 1848.  I am now struggling a little to get back further - can anyone tell me the best way to go about it.  I seem to hit brick walls.  Both families were from the Macclesfield, Langley/Sutton area so far.  Thank you.

Hi chuckums and welcome

Best thing is to post as much info you have about the people concerned and say as specifically as possible what info you are looking for (e.g. census info, marriage info etc).  I'm sure there will be lots of folks who will try to help you out.

If you haven't already, a lot of the info in the beginners section is useful for both beginners and experts alike and worth a quick look.
