Herbert Edmond Howard and Lordy Howard - North Enders (King's Lynn)
« on: Sunday 30 September 07 18:23 BST (UK) »

My grandad Was Herbert Edmond Howard (Tricky Howard)who was born in North Lynn, 1905, and was a docker in King's Lynn.  He was the son of Mr Lordy Howard, a well-know fisherman and character in the close-knit fisher folk of North Lynn, apparently.

I am searching to see if I can find any photo's of the my Grandad in the docks (although I am not sure of when he began, but was working in the 1960's I think!)

I am also interested to find a photo of Lordy Howard, or his family (wife, children) etc!

Can anyone suggest where would the best place to look for photo's.   I know True's Yard could be useful, and have considered going to look there... but then I wouldn't be able to take a copy of any photo's I find, to keep in my family history folder, which is what I would like!

Thanks a lot.

Maybe they will let you take a photograph of any photograph you may find of your grandad.
There is an email address for them so you could ask in advance

or if you click on the Museum Services link you will find a phone number.

Good luck

Hi
Try this link

www.northenders.org.uk/northenders_kings_lynn_the_howards.htm

It is actually a history of the Howards of North End, Kings Lynn. There is a picture of Lordy and his son
